Q-Dog v3.00 - New Features
═══════════════════════════
■ The door now supports Multi-Node systems in a BIG way! Q-Dog can
handle as many users as you have lines in the door at one time.
Also, nodes one and two of your system can enter Q-Dog's NEW
Multi-Node room. The room includes:
■ Two nodes ACTUALLY RACING AGAINST EACH OTHER.
This is a break-through for Multi-Node doors! The
two users race at the same time in real-time on
a special two doggie track.
■ Paging (or inviting) opposite Node for a race.
■ "Who's On-Line" and "Who's in Q-Dog" Features
■ QDCONFIG, a Q-Dog configuration and registration program, has been
written to assist you in easy setup and registration process.
■ A graphical overhaul has taken place. The graphics of Q-Dog are almost
75% different than previous version. Q-Dog is made up of several
"rooms" all of which revolve around one central graphic for lightening
fast, complex ANSI screens.
■ Each user has his/her own personal doggie! This dog is named by the
during the first session and may be changed at any time.
■ An in depth statistics screen has been added. This screen shows
information on the user and doggie. Doggie stats include lifetime
achievments such as Number of Races, Races Won and % Success.
■ Many changes in the editing room! The shape created by the user in
the Doggie Editor is the shape of the user's dog ONLY. The other
four dogs in the race look normal. Also, the shape created is saved
when the user exits and restored for future playing.
■ The actual races are run differently. Previously, everything came
to a grinding halt when the first dog finished. Now, all dogs
finish the race and time is given as a prize to the first AND
second place finishers. The pay-off ratio for each place is
now fully configurable.
■ We have given Q-Dog a more humorous tone by adding random quotes
to the beginning of the door and during the races. Each time a
user enters the door, a random quote is selected and shown to
the user.
■ As requested, Q-Dog now makes the distinction between the types
of bulletin board software (RemoteAccess, QuickBBS, or SuperBBS).
This option is for COSMETIC PURPOSES ONLY. All files must be
identical to the structures of RemoteAccess files.
■ Because of the many rooms now involved with Q-Dog, the door will
no longer throw a user out after using up all his/her races or
breaking the bank. In this event, the regular track is shut off
to the user. However, the user will be thrown out when his/her
original time limit has been exceeded.
■ Q-Dog registrations are now handled by a .KEY system. Once you
register the program, the key will work for any and all future
releases.
■ Sorry, but the log file was scrapped with this version.
